Armed Forces Covenant

Indigo is committed to being a Service Leaver-friendly company and we are very proud that we not only employ a number of ex-service personnel right across our business, but we will also offer real support to employees who have chosen to volunteer to serve in the Reserve Forces.  This is a Covenant that we take very seriously and will work hard to deliver upon.

Indigo is proud to support those who have served within the Armed Forces and we pledge to support these people in the below ways:

  • No member of the Armed Forces community should face a disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizens
  • In some circumstances, special treatment may be appropriate, especially for the injured or bereaved

In addition, Indigo also made a further commitment:

  • To actively recruit veterans, to provide relevant industry training and support and provide greater flexibility to staff who are Reservists by further supporting their training and deployment.
  • We are also committed to invest, train, and fast track those with a desire and aptitude to progress.

We are also delighted to have been awarded the Bronze award for Employee Recognition through these policies followed at Indigo.

We trust in your Development

At Indigo, we understand that changing careers and industries takes some time to adjust and settle, which is why all new employees are supported through comprehensive training to help them get up to speed. Catered specifically to each role, this process helps new employees develop with full support along the way.

Periods of shadowing our experienced team across all departments will benefit new starters. Getting first-hand vision and experience of the working environment and guidance from a colleague helps develop skills and confidence when progressing in a new role.

Indigo Culture

We are proud to have a number of ex-forces personnel already employed by Indigo, predominantly represented especially through field-based roles. The working culture is not too dissimilar to certain roles within the forces that are constantly out in the field and being active 24/7.

The versatility and variety within these roles mean that no day is the same, which brings new challenges, as well as new ways to progress.

For those that are looking to change their working environment, we have office-based roles working across all of our departments and services. Indigo’s HQ is based in Magor, South Wales and Limerick, Ireland and we are always looking to expand the team within these offices.

The people are fantastic, we’re like one big work-family! There is such a wealth of experience and knowledge here, and everyone’s full of enthusiasm to get things done.

I remember seeing all the telecom logos on the tour of the GSD (Global Service Desk) and being impressed by the famous brands. I went from feeling overwhelmed on the first day to making sense of most of it by the end of the week. By the third week, I was practicing raising real tickets.

I enjoy working for Indigo because the leadership team genuinely cares about the staff. And the health and safety culture is very strong. People talk about a top-down culture, where it's driven by the board, but it's actually driven up in Indigo.
